About SolarSelect
Going solar in Ireland means choosing from 500+ SEAI-registered installers — most of whom publish no prices and little detail. SolarSelect exists to make that choice comparable: one place to see every registered installer, the hardware brands they fit, the services they offer, their Google ratings, county coverage and any prices they publish.
Where the data comes from
- The official SEAI register of solar PV companies — the backbone of the directory. Every registered company is listed, whether or not they have a website.
- Installers' own public websites — we read their product and service pages to record the brands they fit, the services they offer and any prices they publish. Every scraped fact links back to the exact page it came from, so you can verify it yourself.
- Google ratingsvia the official Google Places API, displayed with their review counts. Where we can't confidently match a company to its Google listing, we show no rating rather than risk showing the wrong one.
Our crawler is deliberately polite — it respects robots.txt, rate-limits itself and identifies honestly. Details on how it behaves and how to block it.
What we are — and aren't
- Independent. We're not an installer, we don't sell leads, and no company can pay for a better listing or rating.
- Not affiliated with the SEAI.We import their public register, but they don't endorse this site.
- A starting point, not a quote. Data is gathered automatically and can be incomplete or out of date. Prices shown are indicative signals with confidence scores — always confirm details and get written quotes directly from installers.
